The Ombrosa family farm a slope that loses the sun by three in the afternoon. The grapes ripen so late that some years they pick in the fog. This one spent four years in old oak, and it still needs another hour in the decanter.
How it tastes
Dried roses, tar and sour cherry, with tannins that grip and then let go slowly.
